This law is enforced within the campground.

Chautauqua Lake is at our front door here at Camp Chautauqua and many record size fish have been taken from its waters. Fishing is one of the most popular sports in the area. The lake is full of fish such as Muskie, Largemouth Bass, Walleyed Pike, Yellow Perch, and Rainbow Trout to name only a few. One may fish off of our docks during the summer season for those who have a NYS fishing license. We also have a stocked fishing pond in the campground. Lures and nightcrawlers are available at our Trading Post and other nearby bait suppliers.

Yes, with approximately 250 dock slips we can accommodate up to a 24 boat. Dockage is on a first come first serve basis, but there's no need to worry. There is normally no problem getting a slip for your time of stay.
- Do you have any boats for rent?
No, we do not rent boats anymore, but there are places around outside the campground that do rent out boats. You are able to use our dock space if you get a rented boat. Just make sure you let the office know so we can assign you to a dock slip.

Yes, jet skis will be charged a daily launching fee per trailer so as you may have access to our launch area. Although the campground does not have jet skis for rent, there are several marinas in the area that rent them out by the hour or by the day. Feel free to ask one of our staff members for further information on renting one.

Campsite fees are based on 2 persons or a family. Families consist of any unmarried children under the age of 18 still living at home. Guests are charged an additional fee per person, per day.
- How many camping units are allowed per campsite?
Only one camping unit is allowed per campsite. The only exception to this is that one other pup tent may be used on site for children to sleep in. (A pup tent is considered a two man tent or smaller) Any other unit would need its own campsite.
